Healthier Hot Cocoa

The kids LOVE having a warm cup of cocoa on those cold snowy days, but I cringe at the ingredients in those little packets you can buy at the store. So I came up with a healthier version for them to enjoy!
Healthier Hot Cocoa
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup coconut palm sugar (granulated sugar will work too)
1/3 cup hot water
1/8 tsp salt
4 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk)
1 tsp vanilla
Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat. Continue to whisk together until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add the milk. Stir in the vanilla. Continue stirring until it is warm. Do not boil.
